This will be a ten minute post because I’m bouncing off the walls over here people. I can’t seem to get anything done because it all requires that I do something else first. Can’t finish that project because I need to wind yarn. Can’t wind yarn because the swift and winder are currently at the bottom of the closet. Can’t reorganize the closet because there’s already a mess on the floor from the other closet that needs sorting. Can’t sort that mess because I don’ wanna. I could go on but you get the idea.
We drove to Des Moines today so Jack could buy white oak and mahogany wood for the double rocker for the deck.
In a few months I’ll have a comfy seat to watch the sun set, with plenty of room for me, my yarn and a cat or two. I’d even make room for Jack but he never sits still for more than 5 minutes. I was going to have him get enough wood for a side table too but because of a slight miscalculation, the wood cost twice as much as we had estimated. Ouch. Knitting is not the only expensive hobby in this house. The side table can come later.
I’ve got an idea for a summer sweater in my head and think I’ll swatch a little more tonight and try to come up with an idea that doesn’t suck. Or maybe not. See the bouncing/walls above. Maybe I won’t do not much of anything until tomorrow.
If you need me, I’ll be over here flaking out.

I’m looking forward to a picture of the finished rocker with you, your knitting and a cat or two trying to sit on those wood slats while you’re rocking
And before a side table, I’d ask him for a drink holder you can attach to the arm to hold a wineglass! Or maybe that was what the side table was for.
I am so with you on the “don’ wanna” task being the thing that keeps anything else from being done. Sometimes I can slide in sideways to the list, avoiding that despicable whatever-it-is task, and after I’ve accomplished a couple other things it isn’t so daunting. Sometimes.
Good luck!
