I’m off to a slow start on my 100 miles by June 21, only 4 miles this week. I like to walk early in the morning but even if I get up at 6:30 it seems like there are a million things to do before breakfast so pretty soon the day’s half gone and I haven’t laced up the shoes. I’m also having trouble sleeping, waking up at 3 am and not really falling back to sleep. Which leaves me headachey and unmotivated. I’ll get past it but in the short run it’s not much fun.

Did I show you my very first yarn? Corriedale off my beginner’s Louet spindle. Had no idea what I was doing most of the time and didn’t really understand drafting. I’m beginning to get it now and next week I’ll show you some better yarn.

Off to knit on my shawl and keep Jack company while North Carolina and Villanova battle it out. Since I don’t have a favorite in this game, I’ll cheer for the team that’s behind in the last 2 minutes. It’s all about the underdog.
