This is a fun little knit and was a good introduction to nupps. I cursed my way through the first row, fumbled through the second, got smart on the third and breezed through the rest of them. It’s all about making big loops, chickadees.

Not that I’m telling you anything you don’t already know. Jeezum, a lot of people have knit this already. There are more than 4,000 of them on Ravelry. I’m late to the party again.

This is small and light and will be a good addition to dress up a winter coat. I used only about 2/3 of the 50 gram skein of Mista Alpaca Lace so it could have been made quite a bit larger. But I’m really liking this small size. And I can’t believe how quickly I finished it. For me, finishing anything in under two weeks is a speed record on land or sea or in the air. Just doesn’t happen.

Steak salad for supper tonight. Grill a steak, slice it thin and throw it on top of home grown lettuce. Add some blue cheese and walnuts and strawberries and ta-da! Easy summer Sunday supper.

And strawberry shortcake for dessert.

Again.

Gorgeous swallowtail! That’s at the top of my Rav Queue right now and I have a ball of lacy lamb awaiting the cast on (and you’re the first to hear about it! lol)

Beautiful! I’ve received two as gifts, now it’s time to make my own.

Love that Swallowtail! It will most definitely look gorgeous with a coat this winter, or even this summer over a crisp white t-shirt with jeans. Love it! Scared of the nupps………. BTW, how’s Laminaria? Hope to see you next week.

It’s gorgeous!! I started one in laceweight last year and decided it was going to turn out too small – yours looks just perfect! Love the color.
