Hey! Yesterday’s post was #200.
So what?
I don’t know so what, but two zeroes always seem significant so I thought I’d mention it.

Tour de Fleece was great fun thanks to Cookie and Team Crankypants! We were the chattiest thread in the group and there was much foolishness to go along with some fabulous spinning. My goal was to sample different fibers, ply them up and knit a swatch of each. I managed to do that with a Coopworth/silk blend, Merino, CVM, Finn and some mystery pink wool roving. I still need to ply the Finn but I really enjoyed spinning it and can’t wait to see how it knits up.
Now that TdF is finished I sent my little spindle back to the repair shop to see if it can be made like new. It has a rattle and it wobbles; neither condition is ideal for happy spinning. Whatever has broken off inside has caused it to be off-balance and gives me heartburn. Fingers crossed for a good outcome.

While I still have a heavier spindle I could play with, I’m going back to knitting instead. Remember knitting?
I’ve had a pair of pink socks nearly finished for months, just waiting to be cast off. Those were done today. And I picked up my Labyrinth shawl again. I started it nearly a year ago and I’d like to finish it within the year deadline. Let’s see, 166 rows vs. 12 days means I’d need to knit about 14 rows a day. Since the rows are getting shorter that seems doable especially if I’m project-monogamous. This might help clear up some of the mess that is the fiber corner.

And for no particular reason except I like the photo, a moth of some sort in its natural environment. The only good place for a moth.
And that’s all I got for tonight chickadees. Talk amongst yourselves until I return.

Happy 200 posts!
Congratulations on 200!
Thank you for joining in on the fun, Diane! It was wonderful having you as a part of the team.
Fingers crossed that Mr. Golding can work his magic on your spindle. I still need to email him about mine. I’m a’scared.
People still knit?! Who knew? ;^)

Knitting? What’s that? Oh yeah, you do have to knit what you spun.
I haven’t actually knit in over a month.
Here’s to hoping your spindle comes back ok.
Hoping your spindle has a successful rehab. And congrats on 200!
I miss TdF… Though I was always pages and pages behind. Chatty, indeed!
Woo Hoo! 200 posts is a good thing, congratulations! Tour de Fleece was fun, even if I was on the injured reserve list. Chatty, indeed.
