I wasn’t the only one in the family who finished a project just before year-end. Introducing Mirabelle who decided to arrive three weeks early,on Christmas Eve, in the middle of a blizzard. The reports say her brother is unimpressed with her timing or her arrival.
I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the new year and a new decade than welcoming a new little girl into the family. If I’ve counted right, this is great-niece #11, with the boys numbering 6. Girls rule. But you knew that.
Off to visit the stash and search baby patterns.
Here’s wishing Mirabelle, and you, a fabulous new year.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwww…
Happy New Year, Diane!
xo
How precious!
Yay! Happy New Year, Diane!
She is beautiful! Happy New Year, Diane.
What a beautiful child! (Nice hat, too.) Happy New Year! Just makes me smile.
What a little darling! Nothing like a new baby to warm the heartstrings. Missing you and hope to see you next week. Happy New Year to you and Jack.
How adorable. It’s so easy to forget how sweet the newborns are when your 9 and 13 yr old boys are wrestling on the stairs!
I’m glad to hear there’s a family with lots of girls out there as we’re numbering 10 boys and only 4 girls. Between us we sound quite well balanced between the genders.
Awwwwww… Sweet little face in that knit hat!
Poor little thing, though – no one will forget her birthday, but the odds of her ever having a birthday party are pretty slim…
Mirabelle is a cutie! And I’m looking forward to seeing what project you undertake to celebrate this miracle.
Happy New Year to you and Dad!
