edited to fix dum typo
OMG, it’s the second of January already! The year is just flying by!
~
It’s zero here this morning. More snow expected by tomorrow. Make it stop.
~
I told myself in November I wasn’t going to complain about weather this winter. Weather’s weather. Whether you like the weather makes no whit of difference. You’re going to get more weather tomorrow, particularly when it’s wintry. I apparently lied to myself and need an intervention about whether I can leave the weather topic alone. Whatever.

I’m keeping an eye on the trees over by my neighbor’s house. There is a ginormous bird sitting in it. My money’s on a young eagle or a really biiig hawk. My binocs aren’t very strong and he’s well hidden in the branches, but he looks like an eagle to me (mostly because an eagle would be so cool). What do you think Evie?
~
If you put binoculars up to your eyes backwards, all your neighbors live far far away.
~
He’s been sitting in the tree forever, apparently none of the squirrels fit his nutritional needs for the day. How picky can you get?
~
I wonder if my neighbors think I’m a peeping tom?
~
Why don’t the annoying starlings who poop all over the place come with a neon sign that says “I’m a tasty breakfast for eagles.”

A 6-pound baby’s average chest circumference is 12 inches. Tiny.
~
I tried to measure Cleo’s circumference but she bit me. The part I could reach measured more than 12 inches. Not so tiny.

We need more Neosporin.

I do believe cabin fever is setting in. Send the St. Bernard with the margaritas.
~
That is all. Aren’t you glad?
(He’s still sitting there.)

Can you get a photo of him? Or call the neighbors and see if they have a better view of him?
Weather whining is normal. Embrace it. No point in fighting Mother Nature.

LOL — great post!
Good luck with the weather. It is darn cold up here.
“If you put binoculars up to your eyes backwards, all your neighbors live far far away.” Hmmmm I’ll have to try that!
I have a pair of binoculars that takes pictures. They’re by bushnell and come in quite handy when I ‘m trying to figure out what something is. I can snap a picture and play with it on my computer.
It either needs to snow or warm the heck up down here. The overcast icky cloudy cold with no benefits is starting to make me miserable
Such fun reading your cabin fever. *sorry* Hope you get a picture of the bird. LOVE big birds.
Something about the weather….certainly stamps a post with a whenness and a whereness. Not so bad.
Your post amused the crap out of me!!! Hope the margarita dog gets there soon!
take a picture, take a picture, take a picture!!!
I LOVE seeing big birds. I’ve been known pull over the side of the road and watch them until they fly away.
He’s probably waiting for Cleo to leave the house
And if I have to clean up after muddy prints (human or pet) one more time, I’ll have a margarita too!
Your post is making me smile.
Love big birds. Madman and I used to canoe in Maine every year. One year, near the end of the day, a low-flying bald eagle circled around us and flew just over our heads. We were enchanted!
